As the child desk officer at the Commission, Legal Officer Sovanatabua Colavanua attended a half-day focus group workshop for the CAL Programme on the 23 rd of July at the Government Training Centre. CAL stands for Competency Assessment Learning. CAL is an outreach program for people with disabilities especially for children. LO Colavanua was accompanied by Media Promotions Officer, Erica Lee. |

Manager Promotions Agnes Harm and Media/Promotions Officer Erica Lee attended a Career Expo from May 30 th - 1 st June at Suva Grammar School. Close to 3000 students from around Suva passed through the FHRC booth collecting over four boxes of brochures, Rights Quarterly newsletters, posters, and Annual Reports. |

On the 13th of August, Women's Action for Change (WAC) conducted an ethical leadership workshop for about 50 high school students who were leaders/prefects of their respective schools. Dr Shaista Shameem delivered the opening address at the workshop. The workshop was held for week during the school holidays and was attended by Manager Promotions Agnes Ali-Harm who conducted a training session on Human Rights and the Child Rights Convention. Meanwhile, Investigation Officer (IO) Filimoni Daveta and LO Sovanatabua accompanied MEP during the week and participated in the 'Human Rights Maze'- a question and answer session. |

As part of the ongoing commitment to the Citizenship Project, the Commission has been part of the Curriculum Working Group in this project. Manager Education Agnes Ali-Harm is part of the working group and currently in the process of putting together class 3 and 4 teaching and learning resources. |
